Former Black Stars player Junior Agogo died on August 2019 after battling with stroke following his playing career.
The death which broke the hearts of Ghanaians who had seen him represent the nation at the Africa Cup of Nations ignited tributes from His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the president of the Republic of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan, General Captain of the Black Stars of Ghana and a host of others.

Agogo was cremated in the United Kingdom before a private funeral ceremony was held in his memory.
Ex-Ghana defender Samuel Osei Kufuor and Anthony Baffoe were at the ceremony to pay their last respect to the former Ghanaian footballer.
Anthony Baffoe wrote on Twitter:
