As Founder and CEO of Wonda World Estates and Petronia City Development Company Ltd, Nana Kwame Bediako has grown into a Real Estate mogul – building living and working spaces that have attracted lots of commendation.
His landmark developments include Kwarleyz, a plush 43-apartment block in the Airport Residential Area. His latest addition to Accra’s changing skyline is the 16-floor, mixed-use building (retail and living space) structure under development on Osu Oxford street, near Danquah Circle, and designed by world celebrated architect Branco Cavaleiro.
Bediako’s audacious Petronia City project – a self-sustaining, master-planned, integrated city being created on 2000 acres of land near Takoradi, -will have an industrial hub to serve Ghana’s new oil and gas industry, complete with a golf course, several hotel and entertainment facilities, and large communal living spaces for over 30,000 residents.
The first phase of the project, the industrial park with free zone enclave is already underway.
By age 21, he had made a million pounds for himself, selling scrap, steel and telecommunications material while in school at Waltham Forest College, UK.
He has a book in the works that he hopes will help “…make a million millionaires.”
He stumbled into the Real Estate business, when he rented an Accra premises to operate a highly successful night club. He subsequently bought the premises and later sold it for a tidy profit
Bediako says it’s the stuff that dreams are made of; “It’s that kind of value that one wants to leave behind for generations, that’s the spirit of entrepreneurship,” he quips
